My mirrors are all made on a 2 ft x 2 ft base of smoothed and sanded plywood. I mount a beveled mirror onto the wood, and attach two saw tooth hangers for easy hanging. The images come from a variety of sources, depending upon the theme of the mirror, but typically the decoupage of pictures comes in the form of old postcards and picture books. After arranging the images in a collage onto the wood, I apply a coat of gloss to give them a nice sheen finish. From there, beads, glitter, sequins, and trinkets are added to really embellish the kitschiness factor, and a final coats of finish is applied. Each mirror weight appx. 5 pounds, and is roughly 1/2 inch thick. They are made with fine attention to detail, and each end result is a one of a kind piece of wall art.
